INVITATION TO THE PUBLIC TO NOMINATE POTENTIAL HERITAGE RESOURCES IN THE WESTERN CAPE, WORTHY OF PROVINCIAL HERITAGE STATUS (SECTION 27) TO FORM PART OF THE NATIONAL ESTATE IN TERMS OF SECTION 3(2) OF THE HERITAGE RESOURCE ACT, 25 OF 1999._CM inputs
Heritage Western Cape (HWC) is aware that the people of the Western Cape Province feel strongly about protecting resources that have a particular meaning to their culture, memory and lived experiences. Help us to identify these sites by nominating them to be considered as Provincial Heritage Sites (PHS). HWC would like to hear from members of the public which sites in the province they feel meets the relevant criteria to be declared as PHS and enjoy the protections associated with such status. These sites should have aesthetic, architectural, historical, scientific, social, spiritual, linguistic or technological heritage significance. Help us to identify these cultural heritage resources by nominating them as potential Provincial Heritage Sites (PHS). HWC would like to hear from members of the public which heritage resources in the province they feel meets the relevant criteria to be declared as PHS and while ensuring that the resource is formally protected through provincial heritage status. These sites should have aesthetic, architectural, historical, scientific, social, spiritual, linguistic, or technological heritage significance in terms of Section 3 (3) of the ACT.
