How to Apply

Step 1: Request a Reference Number

Before submitting most applications (except NIDs):

  • Email hwc.hwc@westerncape.gov.za with your property address (street, erf/plot number, suburb/town, and district).
  • You will receive a reference number and HWC’s banking details within 1 working day.

Step 2: Submit Your Application

  • Email your completed form and supporting documents to hwc.hwc@westerncape.gov.za.
  • You will receive confirmation within 3 working days.

Only the latest forms (effective from 1 April 2023) will be accepted.

Public Consultation

Some applications require public consultation with a 30-day commenting period.
